Losma at Ecomondo, host of European Commission booth

Ecomondo is the leading international event in Europe and the Mediterranean basin for technologies, services and industrial solutions in the green and circular economy sectors. A hub for research and innovation, it hosts the leading companies in services, solutions and technologies in the environmental sector: from water management to waste disposal, from textiles to bioenergy, from soil management and protection to transport, agriculture and sustainable cities.

In this 2023 edition, Losma will have the opportunity to present at the SUD/301 booth, the conclusion of the work of a 3-year research project: Green Factory Life, which received funding from the European Commission, through CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. In partnership with two other companies from Bergamo, Fae Technology of Gazzaniga and Ma-El of Presezzo, the Green Factory Life project, of which Losma is coordinator, was in fact awarded in 2019, among more than 1,700 projects that knocked on CINEA's doors. The goal of the project is to provide an integrated environmental sanitation system, which, through a series of air quality detectors distributed throughout the plant, is able to constantly monitor the pollution parameters of the entire production site. The research activity aims to lower Co2 levels, eliminate spores, molds, odors, carcinogens, as well as viral and bacterial charges in the air during the different processing cycles. In this innovative centralized factory air purification system, traditional mechanical filtration, supported by Losma's Argos Series vacuum cleaners, is integrated with the brand new PCO Photocatalytic Oxidation technology. The complex pilot plant installed in 2022, at Ma-El, a company specializing in the manufacture of dies and equipment for cold metal forming is capable of treating and purifying a total of 20,000 m³ of air.
